**Note - A SSN is required for Transunion to complete the background check. An ITIN number will not work

How Tenant Completes the Screening

Once the screening task is assigned to the tenant, the tenant will click the task and accept the terms of service by clicking the Mark as Ready button.

Next the tenant will confirm their information and click Save.

The following screen will begin the verification. The tenant will click the Begin Verification button and a verification code will be sent to the cell phone that was entered in the confirmation screen (this number should match what the tenant has on the application and what you have as number for the tenant in the participants page of your deal.

After the tenant completes the verification, they will be prompted to enter their credit card information to pay the application fee (they will not be charged until you process the screening unless you have your settings to charge them immediately upon completion of the application).

Notifications

Once the tenant completes the screening and enters their payment information, the task will be completed and the agent and TC (if applicable) will receive an email notification of the completed task for each tenant who completed it.

** Note - The landlord will not receive a notification

Once you have processed the report, send the landlord a login link by clicking the envelope icon next to the application participants tab.

The landlord will be able to view the report in the Application Documents page

Report Not Ready after Processing

While most reports are generated instantly, some may take up to three business days if there is a potential matching record that requires further verification by TransUnion.

Unable to Process or Open Report

Agents only have seven days to process a report or they will need to reassign the task to the tenant.
Once a report is processed it is only good for 30 days. After 30 days, the report will not be able to be opened.
