How to Set Document Signing Order

Learn how to set the document signing order between a client and an agent.

When drafting a document in Jointly, it may be required for the Agent on the deal to sign the document. For these specific documents, you can set the signing order to decide if the agent or the client will need to sign first. This preference is valuable to set if your team has Transaction Coordinators drafting documents for you and they do not want to wait for the agent signature to send documents out to the client.

Where Can an Agent's Personal Document Signing Order Preference be Set?

  1. Select the Profile icon from the left navigation panel.

  2. Select Manage Profile.

  3. Select Contract Preferences.

  4. From Contract Preferences, select Documents that require agent signature. Then set your signing order preference. Don't forget to save once your selection has been made.

Where Can I Set my Team's Signing Order Preference?

  1. Select the Team icon from the left navigation panel.

  2. Select Contract Preferences.

  3. From Contract Preferences, select Documents that require agent signature. Then set your signing order preference. Don't forget to save once your selection has been made. This preference will be applied to all agents on your team.
