How to Execute an Offer

What happens when you execute an offer?

Executing an offer will update the offer status to executed, record the execution date and the TIMELINE tab will also be available for users who subscribe to the PRO package and above.

When can you execute an offer?

The option to execute an offer will be available:

  • After an offer has been accepted

  • After an offer has been uploaded

Both listing agents and buyer's agents have the ability to mark an offer as executed.

How to execute an offer as the buyer's agent for an offer with a represented seller:

  1. Once the offer has been submitted to the listing agent, the buyer agent can execute it from the Offer page. Click More.

  2. Next, select Mark as Executed and Confirm

  3. Enter the final acceptance date and press SAVE.

  4. The offer status will update to "Executed" with the execution date and the TIMELINE tab will be available.

How to execute an offer as the buyer's agent for an offer with an unrepresented seller:

  1. Click MARK AS EXECUTED.

  2. Enter the final acceptance date and press SAVE.

  3. The date will be recorded on the contract, the offer status will update to "Executed" with the execution date, and the TIMELINE tab will be available.

How to execute an offer as the listing agent:

For an offer received on Jointly:

  1. From the Offer page, click Execute.

  2. Enter the final acceptance date and click SAVE.

  3. The date entered will be recorded on the contract

  4. The date will be recorded on the contract, the offer status will update to "Executed" with the execution date, and the TIMELINE tab will be available.

For an offer received outside of Jointly:

  1. After you upload the offer, from the Offer page, click More.

  2. Next, select Execute Contract and click CONFIRM.

  3. Enter the final acceptance date and click SAVE.

  4. The date will be recorded on the contract, the offer status will update to "Executed" with the execution date, and the TIMELINE tab will be available.

Once an offer is executed, you can:

  • Amend the offer

  • Terminate the offer

  • Edit terms (for uploaded offers only)
