How you sign up depends on whether you are an agent, a team or brokerage lead, or a transaction coordinator.
As an agent
Go to the sign up page. There are two ways to get verified — with your state license number, or by linking your Clareity account.
Verifying with your state license
Under What state are you licensed in?, select your state. If yours is not listed, Jointly may not be available in your market yet — use Submit a market request under the field.
Enter your state license number.
If you have access to more than one MLS, a third question appears — Which association or MLS do you work with most? Choose the one you work in most.
No MLS question? Nothing is missing. It only appears when you have access to more than one — if you have access to a single MLS, Jointly recognises it and skips the question.
Click VERIFY.
On Update your information, check the name, email and phone Jointly has brought across, then click CONFIRM.
These details come from your MLS record, and you can change them. If anything is out of date there, correct it here — what you confirm is what Jointly uses.
On Almost there!, create a password — at least 6 characters — tick the box to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and click COMPLETE SIGN UP.
It will not verify my license number
Enter the number on its own, with no suffix. A Texas number such as 853514-SA goes in as 853514. A suffix is the usual reason the number does not pull up your details.
If it still does not verify, check that the state above it is the one the license was issued in.
Signing up with Clareity
If your MLS uses Clareity, you can verify that way instead of entering a license number.
Under Sign up with Clareity, choose your MLS from Select your MLS.
Click LINK TO CLAREITY ACCOUNT and sign in with your Clareity credentials.
Tenants can sign up themselves, from your listing portal. A prospective tenant who opens the portal link you shared can create an account and start an application without waiting to be invited. Every other client is invited by their agent. See The Listing Portal.
As a team or brokerage lead
To create a team or brokerage account, contact us at [email protected], or chat with us using the chat icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
As a transaction coordinator
If you work with an agent who already uses Jointly, the agent invites you — you do not sign up yourself.
If you are an independent transaction coordinator and want to use Jointly to manage your agents' transactions, contact us at [email protected], or chat with us using the chat icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Signing in with a login link
A login link signs you in without a password. You use one if your account does not have a password — which is every client, and also any agent whose account was created for them rather than by them: added to a brokerage or partnership, or created automatically when someone submitted an offer to them.
Login links expire, so you will need a fresh one from time to time.
Go to the login page and enter your email.
Select Send Login Link.
A new link is sent to your email.
Use the email address your account was created with. That is how Jointly recognises you, and it is the usual reason this does not work: if the address is not the one on file, nothing is sent.
If a client cannot get in, check which address they were invited with — you can correct it, or send them a login link directly from the deal.
Setting a password instead
If you would rather sign in with a password than use a link each time:
Go to the login page and enter the email your account was created with.
Select Set Password.
You receive an email with instructions. Press Reset Password in it, and you are prompted to set one.
