This is for the listing agent, on an offer you have received.
What does inviting an agent to resubmit do?
It asks the buyer's agent to send you a new offer. You draft and send them the Seller's Invitation to Buyer to Submit New Offer (TXR 1926), and they are notified that they have been invited to resubmit.
This is not about sending your own documents back for compliance review. If a document of yours was rejected by your broker and you are trying to submit the file again, that is a different process and this article will not help.
How do I invite an agent to resubmit an offer?
From the offer, click + Add Document.
Choose Seller's Invitation to Buyer to Submit New Offer (TXR 1926).
Draft the document, then assign it to your client to review and sign.
Once they have signed, submit the document to the cooperating agent.
Do I have to reject the offer first?
No. A buyer's agent can edit their contract and resubmit it with changes without you doing anything on your end.
So an invitation to resubmit is a way of asking for a new offer — it is not a step that unlocks editing for the other side.
What happens on the buyer's agent's side?
If a buyer's agent needs to change something on an offer they have already sent, they edit the offer rather than retracting it. Editing the contract has a few consequences:
It removes the offer from your tasks.
It clears the buyer signatures.
You lose access to the earlier version of the document.
So expect the revised offer to arrive as a fresh version, not as a marked-up copy of the one you already saw.
I was told an offer was resubmitted but I got no email
The email to you is sent from the message that appears on the buyer's agent's screen when they click Submit. If they close that message instead of sending it, the offer status still changes to Submitted but no email goes out.
Open the offer in the deal — it will be there. The submitting agent can send the notification afterwards using the envelope icon or the Remind button.
They can also attach additional offer documents to that email before sending, so a resubmission is not limited to the documents the system selects on its own.
