When you first start working with a client, there are a few major details and events that need to take place. This includes completing forms like the Buyer Representation and Listing Agreement, Information About Brokerage Services, as well as gathering basic information about your client. How does all of this happen in Jointly?

Invite your client

1. To get started, navigate to your Home page.

2. In the top right, click Add Client.

3. From the dropdown, select the MLS you're a member of and then select which party you're representing.

If you're representing a buyer:

1. Enter your client's first name, last name, email, and phone number (optional).

2. If you are representing more than one buyer, select Yes to the question asking if you would like to add an additional Buyer. This will allow you to add the additional information. Press Save.

3. Confirm how you want your client's names to appear on the contract. This is where you can enter a legal entity name such as an estate or LLC. Next confirm how you want to refer to this deal. Press Save.

5. After pressing save, your client(s) will receive an email notification with a link inviting them to Jointly.

If you're representing a seller:

1. Enter your client's first name, last name, email, and phone number (optional). If you are representing more than one seller, select Yes to the question asking if you would like to add an additional seller. This will allow you to add the additional information.

2. After adding client information you will be prompted to choose whether the property has been listed on the MLS.

3. If you have an active MLS number for the property, select Yes. Then, enter the MLS #. We'll verify that the MLS # is valid.

4. If you do not have an active MLS number for the property, select No.

5. Next, select the property type.

  • If you provide an MLS #, we'll automatically pull in the property type from MLS and auto-select the correct option.

  • If your property is not listed on MLS, select the appropriate property type.

6. Confirm how you want your client's names to appear on the contract. This is where you can enter a legal entity name such as an estate or LLC. Next confirm how you want to refer to this deal. Press Save.

7. After pressing save, your client(s) will receive an email notification with a link to create an account.
